Renault 4 CV

Launched in 1947, the 4CV represented the small „family“ car so eagerly awaited by the French post-war generation. The Régie [state-controlled company] emphasised its acceleration and top speed: 90 km/h! Its power, braking, road holding and comfort at such an affordable price ensured its tremendous popularity. Chosen in 1955 by the Paris Police, its colour scheme gave rise to the nickname „ Voiture Pie“.
